Wildflowers were lovely from Northern California up through Oregon and then back again. I have no idea what some of the names are. I saw Queen Anne’s lace, phlox, daisies, sweetpeas, yellow daisies, dandelion, clover, lupine. and much more. God creates such beauty.
We extended our stay in Tillicum Beach by 5 days which meant we had to shuffle our schedule for the remainder of the trip in order to get back on time. This also meant changing our route back. Lost Hills RV and Camping Resort in guess where? Lost Hills, CA, is basically a parking lot for trailers. Instead of blacktop or pavement, the vehicles sit on hard-packed dirt. Each site has a tree, picnic table with water and electric hookups. Nonetheless, it’s still a dusty parking lot. So why look for beauty here? Continue Reading
Brian found this small campground tucked away off I-5 just past Donmuir, CA called Sims Flats in the Shasta Trinity National Forest. The Sacramento river courses alongside the campground. We found two nice beach towns near us during our visit to Tillicum Beach, Oregon–Waldport and Yachats (pronounced YA HOTS).
