Skunked
So it seems Roosevelt Lake now has a resident skunk population. We’ve seen Mr. or Ms. Skunk four or five times now. He comes up to the path from the lake—which is too steep for us to walk – right into camp, not the least bit concerned with us. However, he doesn’t like Kate, our English springer spaniel barking. And she does bark. It’s her “danger in the area bark” not here “hello I’m here bark. I really have to hold onto her by the collar and around her body. All we need is her sprayed with eau de skunk. I don’t even know how to remove that stink. I’ve heard tomato juice works.

Note to Self: Lay in a supply of tomato juice just in case.
